John H. Kauffman Golf Classic
Benefiting Cancer Research at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University
Dunwoody Country Club – October 14, 2025
Planning is underway for the Annual Golf Outing fundraising activities to benefit research at Georgia’s only comprehensive cancer center, The Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
Over the last fifteen years, the John H. Kauffman Cancer Fundraiser has contributed $6,718,000 (including matching funds) to Winship. These funds have been a source for many critical cancer research efforts. And an additional $10 million in external funding has been secured by leveraging our contributions.
Let’s drive out cancer and have a ball doing it!
Since 2023 the John H. Kauffman Cancer Fundraiser has brought additional impact to cancer research with a new commitment to fund a $1,500,000 Endowed Professorship, which is eligible for the Faculty Endowment Initiative Matching program. And that means that once the event has raised $1,000,000 towards the funding goal, Emory adds $ 500,000 in matching funds.
This money is used to recruit eminent professors-researchers who seek new treatments, mentor and teach future physicians, and provide compassionate care for patients.
This year’s fundraising events include the Annual Golf Tournament at Dunwoody Country Club beginning with 10 am registration and includes lunch, greens fees, carts, complimentary beverages plus putting and long drive contests for prizes. An evening gala caps the day with Live and Silent Auctions, dinner and complimentary beverages. We hope to see you there!
